Creative Conspiracy joined the 2nd annual "Tour de Farms" brought to you by Healthy Lifestyle La Plata as ride support personnel.
The day was beautiful as we toured through the Durango Farmers Market first and then headed out west of town up Hwy 160 toward Hesperus. There were 27 signed up for the tour this year, the first with an extended route through the countryside, with a diverse range of ages and abilities. The tour was about 40 miles long and took about 5 hours to complete, it also included three stops along the way at various garden projects; CSU Extension Office in Hesperus, Fort Lewis Mesa Elementary & Isgar Farms.
The tour finished at the Smiley Building with an array of delicious goodies from local farms and suppliers.
